Elinchrom has created the 14 x 30" Snaplux Quick-Open Stripbox to give time-pressed photographers a modifier that combines the ease and set up speed of umbrellas with the directionality and light quality of a softbox.
With its unique, long rectangular form factor, it's clear why it's a favorite of people, product, and fashion photographers. The shape is ideal for edge or side lighting a subject or product, for use as a hairlight, or for rendering long, elegant highlights on glassware and reflective objects. To offer even greater control, Elinchrom includes a 30-degree fabric grid to facilitate selective lighting. The softbox has a silver interior to maximize output and a removable front diffuser that can be left on as it usually is or removed for a punchy high contrast look. The Snaplux Stripbox comes with a bag for storage and transport.
Snaplux speed rings are required and sold separately. They're available for 6 strobe brands including: Elinchrom (full size), Elinchrom Q-Mount, Profoto OCF, Bowens S-Mount, AlienBee, Balcar, and Broncolor.
