At double the power of the 200-C, the Super Hornet 575-C PAR Spot Omni-Color LED Light from Hive is a significant advance in their growing LED fixture line. The versatile 5.5 lb LED light source measures 11.5" in length and 4" in diameter, allowing it to use Profoto accessories and making it a great choice for tight spaces with minimal support requirements. The light has a 22-degree PAR spot reflector that makes it an ideal choice for selective lighting or for long throw work. The beam can be further modified by the included four-way barndoors.
Control is the key word in the construction of the 575-C. Hive uses what they call Perfect S.H.O.T controls which is an umbrella term for complete control and adjustment of every aspect of light output. Part of the success of the system is due to the use of 7 LED-chip blending. Instead of the traditional 3 colors, Hive uses red, amber, lime, cyan, green, blue, and sapphire for nearly infinite color combinations with a high CRI/TLCI rating of 98 and 97 indicating advanced accuracy in the rendering of color which can be adjusted from a very warm amber 1650K to an icy blue 8000K. But control doesn't stop there. There's 360-degree hue adjustment around the color wheel as well as 0-100% saturation control. The 575-C can also be dimmed from 0-100%.
While of course you can make all these adjustments manually, you can also make them remotely via your smartphone, onboard wired DMX or built-in wireless CRMX. The Super Hornet 575-C is ready for worldwide use thanks to its 100-240 VAC power supply.
